Club History

Redditch Blues was founded in 1993 by a group of friends who wanted a way to get to the games more easily. The first committe was then set up by Sam Joseph, Dave Wormington, Paul Sheldon, Micky Lakin and Mark Court when Blues recognised them as an official supporters club.

Originally, the club used to meet at South Redditch Sports and Social Club and later moved to Studley Road Social Club. In 2009, the club moved to The Oast House, which is still the home of Redditch Blues.

The number of members in 2009/10 stood at 204 but dropped a little bit in 2010/11 to 178. However, some years membership has been as high as 523. Most members are from Redditch, but there are also several members from Studley, Bromsgrove, Solihull, Alcester and Droitwich and as far afield as Stroud and Telford

Redditch Blues organise coaches and tickets to all home and away games, including most pre-season friendlies. In 2011, 7 coaches were taken to Wembley to watch Blues win the Carling Cup! The club had always used Hardings International Coaches until August 2009 when they opted for a change to Johnsons Coaches.

The club also organise events, in the past having stars such as Steve Bruce and Trevor Francis down to meet the fans. Also, in July 2011, the Carling Cup made an appearance at the end of season AGM, giving members of Redditch Blues the chance to have their photo with the cup.
